This intensive multi-week program is held on six consecutive Tuesday evenings from 6:00-8:00 p.m., beginning October 15, 2019.
CBF created the Volunteers as Chesapeake Stewards (VoiCeS) program in 2004 as a way to reach out to local volunteers and their communities and create a deeper understanding of the Bay and the efforts to restore it. VoiCeS is CBF's most in-depth adult education program available to its members and the public. This year we are moving the program to Salisbury!
Learn about Bay science and fisheries, pollution problems and solutions, and how volunteers can help restoration efforts in their local waters and the Bay. In this professionally taught course, you will explore not just crabs and oysters, but:
The VoiCeS program culminates in a service requirement of 40 hours on a Bay-related project(s) of your choosing. Successful graduates receive CBF's designation as "Chesapeake Stewards."
Materials fee: $25/individual, $40/couple.
