How is your neighborhood community influenced by water? How do our actions impact the Potomac and the Chesapeake Bay? MCPS elementary school teachers will participate in stream studies, authentic water quality investigations, and schoolyard assessments to answer these questions and more! Join the Lathrop E. Smith Environmental Education Center for a unique professional learning opportunity as we spend five days exploring our neighborhoods in and around Montgomery County. Investigate the connections between our daily activities and the ecology of the Potomac River, its tributaries, and the Chesapeake Bay. Work aboard a research vessel on the Potomac River, canoe along the Monocacy River, create your own "Shed-Stories" while learning from your peers and having fun!
