Here at CBF we often say what happens on the land is mirrored in the water. Similarly, what happens in the county council chambers can have a major impact on efforts to restore our waters to health.
Local governments on the Eastern Shore have a major role to play in closing the gap. Your local elected officials can take actions to keep the region's waters and the Chesapeake Bay on the road to recovery. This is your opportunity to ask your candidates for local office what they will do to clean up the Eastern Shore's rivers and creeks.
The Talbot County Council Candidate Forum on the Environment will be moderated by John Griep, editor of the Star Democrat, with questions taken from the audience via notecards.
The Chesapeake Bay Foundation and League of Women Voters Mid Shore are pleased to cosponsor this forum for the educational benefit of Talbot County residents. Our organizations do not support or endorse candidates for elected office.
