Here at CBF we often say what happens on the land is mirrored in the water. Similarly, what happens in the county council or commissioner chambers can have a major impact on efforts to restore our waters to health.

Local governments on the Eastern Shore have a major role to play in closing the gap. Your local elected officials can take actions to keep the region's waters and the Chesapeake Bay on the road to recovery. This is your opportunity to ask your candidates for local office what they will do to clean up the Eastern Shore's rivers and creeks.

The Wicomico County Council Candidate Forum on the Environment will be moderated by Laura Benedict-Sileo of The Daily Times, with questions taken from the audience via notecards.

The Chesapeake Bay Foundation, League of Women Voters Mid Shore, Salisbury University Institute for Public Affairs and Civic Engagement, The Daily Times, and Wicomico Environmental Trust are pleased to cosponsor this forum for the educational benefit of Wicomico County residents. Our organizations do not support or endorse candidates for elected office.
