Open to Prince George's County educators.

This course has been designed to help educators recognize the value of embedding classroom understanding in meaningful real world contexts. By imaging the outdoors as a classroom, students are encouraged to become critical thinkers who begin to see the connections between in school time, and out of school time. Using the Next Generation Science Standards, as well as the Maryland Environmental Literacy Standards, teachers will leave this course with a grounded understanding of best practices for engaging students in and out of the classroom, as well as a toolkit for bringing their own project ideas to reality.

Length & Location: 4 days local to Prince George's County.
Cost: $50 resource fee refunded upon completion of the course.
Credit: This course qualifies for 3 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits from MSDE for Maryland teachers.
