With spring on the horizon, experts will teach tree pruning techniques at this free workshop in Hopewell led by the Chesapeake Bay Foundation (CBF) and Virginia State University. The Tree Pruning 101 workshop will cover basics such as best time of year to prune, how and where to cut limbs, and what types of tools to use.
An indoor presentation will be followed by a hands-on tree pruning session outdoors. Speakers include VSU Urban Forestry Research & Extension Associate Joel Koci and CBF Virginia Director of Outreach and Advocacy Ann Jurczyk.
Tools will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own.
