Pathways to the Potomac: An Investigation into the DC Area Watershed

This course is open to Northern Virginia, D.C., and Maryland educators.

In this course, we will explore the Potomac River Watershed around the D.C. metro area. Here teachers will investigate some of the threats to our waterways as well as methods that help mitigate problems in our water. As we dig deeper into the state of our watershed, we will find ways to connect these topics and techniques back to the classroom.

Length & Location: 5 days total; 2 local investigation days, 3 days/2 nights at CBF's Karen Noonan Memorial Environmental Education Program.
Cost: $50 resource fee.
Credit: Washington, D.C. teachers are eligible for 45 Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) for successful course completion.
