THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT
Culinary experts have called oysters "the great undiscovered palate." With their unique flavors, characterized by the waters they live in, their complexity is comparable to the world's great wines. Join us as we explore the flavors of Bay oysters paired with Virginia wines, all while overlooking the birthplace of the American oyster industry in one of the greenest buildings in the world!
What types of wine go best with oysters? How do the flavors of oysters differ between regions of the Bay? How is the recovery of the Chesapeake Bay oyster going? These questions and more will be answered by oyster experts, wine connoisseurs, and CBF staff during this unique pairing event!
Sample oysters direct from the Bay waters with Virginia wine from a local winery, and leave with a renewed energy and appreciation for why we are Saving the Bay—for shellfish reasons!
Featuring oysters from:
The event also includes heavy hors d'oeuvres, craft beer from O'Connor Brewing Company, opportunities for raffle prizes, and a souvenir wine glass from the Williamsburg Winery!
Complimentary valet parking will be available past the gate at the ramp to the Brock Environmental Center.
Space is limited, so register today. Registration is $50 for CBF members, $60 for non-members.
